She is wearing a white silky strapless one-piece outfit with flip-flops. The shorts stop about mid-thigh and I have an outstanding view of her legs. Colorful bracelets made of string adorn her wrists, and a leather cord with what looks like sea glass hangs around her neck. Her wavy hair hangs down her back and shoulders. This is the first time I see her dressed casually. She looks like a chic bohemian angel. Not what I expected but I love the way she looks.

She notices me right away from across the room so I offer a smile and a nod. I want to give her space while she chats it up with some girls from the office. I can’t wait to be near her but from what I know of her, she’ll bolt if I come on too strong in front of everyone.

I sit back and drink my gin and tonic watching as she interacts with her coworkers. I notice I am not the only one watching Alexandra. A group of guys a few feet away from me eye her up. I walk closer so I can eavesdrop on their conversation.

“She looks so fucking hot, I’d like to tap that.” Red shirt guy says.

“You and me both.” Tall, skinny guy adds.

“Do you think Joe’s fucked her?” Red shirt guy asks.

“I asked him once he swears he didn’t except in his wet dreams.” Short, fat guy with facial hair answers red shirt guy’s question.

“Look how good her tits look.” Short, skinny bald guy observes.

“I’d be happy if she let me tit fuck her.” Says the guy who will get the shit kicked out of him in two seconds.

It takes every bit of discipline I have not to go over to the group of them and beat the shit out of each one of them and then confront Joe who I thought was her friend.

As I get myself riled up I feel a hand on my back. I turn to face Renee who stands way too close.

“Are you enjoying yourself?” Renee sounds suggestive whenever she speaks. It makes my skin crawl.

I don’t take my eyes off Alexandra, “Now I am.” I feel Renee’s hand drop lower on my back and I realize she thinks I’m talking about her. I’m about to explain my response but become distracted when Alexandra’s eyes meet mine. She moves towards me with a smile on her face. “Well hello there, Mr. Nick Ryan. I didn’t expect to see you here.”

The sound of her voice soothes me. “I decided to attend last minute. I didn’t think you would make it.”

“Trying to get over the bridge into the city was a nightmare. Cars were backed up on the bridge for miles, so I turned around and took the train.” Alexandra looks at Renee who’s still too close for my comfort. “Hi Renee, are you two enjoying yourselves?”

Alexandra thinks I’m with her. I need to get away from Renee. “I’m glad you made it. Can I get you a drink?” I lift my glass towards the bar.

Alexandra nods then rests her hand on her stomach as she looks around. “Thank you but I’ll get it, you two stay and enjoy yourselves. I need to search out food, first. I’m starving.”

I love this girl she has such a healthy appetite. “I’ll find you something. I saw appetizers going around and Dave said he will barbecue a little later.”

I smile as I can already recognize Alexandra’s look of relief to hear there is food. I move away from Renee so that her hand drops from my back. “Will you excuse us, Renee?” I turn towards Alexandra placing my hand on her lower back as we walk towards the bar. “Don’t worry I’ll make sure you eat.”

When we reach the bar, I notice that Alexandra’s expression changes when she sees Joe. She looks concerned while she whispers something in his ear. He brushes her off with a wave of his hand. She shrugs her shoulders and walks back. I hand her a glass of wine and we go in search of food.

We find the caterer off to the corner and she makes us a plate of appetizers. With food and drinks in hand, Alexandra and I find a private seat away from the crowds. There are only a few people around us and they must be friends of Dave’s outside of work because they don’t acknowledge us.

“It’s a beautiful evening.” She says right before she takes a bite of her bruschetta. A piece of tomato falls on her thigh. She looks down as I wipe it off her skin with my finger and pop it in my mouth. Her mouth drops open as I lick my finger.

“Delicious.” I finish wiping the residual oil off her leg with my napkin.

“Thank you, you’re not so bad yourself.” She teases as she takes a bite of a stuffed mushroom.

“Alex, save room I think I smell burgers cooking.”

“No worries, I’m starving.” She takes another bite of food. “I only ate watermelon after my run this morning.”

“So that explains that body and your appetite.” I grab a stuffed mushroom from her plate and pop it in my mouth.

She smiles in response as she continues chewing.

I look around at the party. “Are you friendly with your coworkers?”

She looks down at her plate of food as she answers me. “I consider them acquaintances. If you need background on Renee, I can’t help you. But most of the men here could offer insight.”

“That’s not why I’m asking.” I notice the surrounding area filling up and I see Renee making a beeline right towards us. “Should we go in search of burgers?” I stand and reach for her hand.

“I hope he’s making sliders, I love sliders!” She takes my hand as she stands up.

“Alexandra, you know what I love… your appetite.”

She swats my arm in response.

A couple hours later, the sky is dark and the fireworks are about to begin. Just as I take Alexandra’s hand to escort her to a more secluded area to watch the fireworks Renee walks up. She links her arm in mine. “Nick, let’s sit over there it’s a better view.”

I hesitate as I look at Alexandra. I’ve been enjoying her company and now this piranha is ruining it. “Alexandra and I were going to sit somewhere else.”

“Well, she can come too.” Renee’s saccharine voice makes my skin crawl.

Before I respond Alexandra jumps in, “I want to check on Joe, you two enjoy the rest of the night.” Before she turns and walks away, I grab her wrist. “Alex…”

“It’s okay Nick, enjoy the fireworks, we’ll see each other around…remember you’re my boss now.” She whispers.

I watch as she walks away. I can’t figure this girl out. She has my head spinning. She gives in a little and just I settle in she retreats.

I never thought I would say this, but I didn’t enjoy the fireworks. Who doesn’t enjoy fireworks? I spent most of the time looking around the crowds of people for Alexandra, and the rest of time avoiding Renee’s advances. The girl doesn’t quit. She shoves those, squished in a too small bra, tits in my face every chance she gets. She doesn’t stop touching me and even if it doesn’t require it, she whispers everything she says in my ear leaving dampness in its wake.

I stand up. I’ve had enough of Renee for one night. Forget that, I’ve had enough of her for a lifetime. “Renee, I’m heading out. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.”

“I’ll walk with you.” She reaches her hands out for me to help her up but I don’t offer.

“No, you stay and enjoy the party. I have a big day tomorrow, I’m sure I’ll see you Tuesday.” I know I’ll see her Tuesday because Renee will make sure I see her Tuesday and every day after that. Before she can say anything else, I hurry off.

I look back at Renee as I walk away. Before I met Alexandra, I would pick up a girl like Renee just to have sex with when I needed it. Not to date her, just to string her along, sleep with her when there was nothing better going on, but not anymore. There is no appeal left for me. I want more than what I accepted in my past.

I don’t see Alexandra anywhere. I hope she didn’t leave without saying goodbye, but then again she might avoid it since that vulture Renee elbowed her out. I ask a few unsuspecting people if they saw her. A small pale mousy sort of girl says she saw Alexandra walking towards the stairs.

Trying to act casual, I say a few quick goodbyes on my way to exit. When I have my hand on the door handle, I feel relief. I run down the sta
irs taking two and three steps at a time until I am at the door to the top floor of the apartment building. Just as I fling it open and walk through Alexandra is stepping into the elevator. “Hold that please,” I yell out.

I step in and find Alexandra alone. “Leaving, without saying goodbye?” I stand right in front of her facing her. She avoids eye contact at first but then her eyes reach mine.

“Sure I did…right before the fireworks started.” She answers me but looks distracted.

I look over her face. She is so beautiful it takes every bit of self-control not to take her right here. Then I notice something else…sadness. Alexandra looks sad. “Are you okay, Alexandra?”

She swallows and looks away from me. “Yes. Why do you ask?”

I shake my head, “Forget it, I thought…” I look at her though she avoids eye contact with me. “Alexandra, look at me.” She turns and when I look in her eyes tears pool in them. I take her in my arms and hold her. “Alexandra, what’s wrong?”

“I’m sorry I’m crying. It breaks my heart to see Joe like that.”

I stay holding her as we talk. “I noticed Joe never left the bar, but I wasn’t sure if that was his normal behavior.”

I feel Alexandra shake her head against my chest. “It’s normal. I mean he always liked to have a good time, but he seems to take it to a whole new level.”

I move my hand over the back of her head. “Alexandra, don’t worry about it. At the appropriate time, you or I will talk to him. I like Joe, I don’t want to see him spiral down, but I have seen a difference in him since we started negotiations six months ago.”

Alexandra looks up at me. I wipe her tears with my thumbs. We stare at each other and then I let go of all restraints, I cover her mouth with mine. We kiss until the ding of the elevator startles us.

Out on the street, we face each other. I’m not ready to leave her. “Alexandra, come home with me.”

She doesn’t answer me at first. I try to read her expression. Just as I think I offended her, or I will get lectured on proper employee/ boss relationships, she proves me wrong. “Nick, it’s late and I need to get my car out of the lot.”

“Then your house it is.” I walk toward Penn Station reaching for her hand.

She places her hand in mine as I walk; she pulls me back. “You know I live in Jersey.”

“I know. I want to be with you, so Jersey it is.” I give her a peck on the lips. “Shall we?”

  “Yes.”

Alexandra directs me to turn right. Her home sits on a large piece of property in an established neighborhood with many mature trees surrounding all the homes. Lights shine upon the birch trees that line the long driveway to her house. The warm light of an arts and crafts pendant fixture hangs over her front door.

The gray cedar shake house is a u-shaped design with a detached garage off to the back. Mike told me her house was nice, but I didn’t expect it to be this nice. It’s a lot of house on a lot of property for a single woman. I realize how little I know of her. She makes six figures, but this is more than I expected.

I pull up to the garage door and park her truck. We sit still for a moment looking at each other. I sense her apprehension. I place my hand on her knee, “It’s been a long time since you’ve had a man here?”

She smiles and crinkles her nose, “It’s that obvious?”

“You seem nervous but you shouldn’t be. It’s just me.” I don’t know how that should make her feel better since we know each other for a short time, but I give it a shot because I know the thought of her brings me comfort.

She smiles and turns to open her car door, and I do the same. I wait for her at the end of the car, my arm stretched out to take her hand. She reaches for me and we walk together towards the front door.

She slides the key in and out and steps into the foyer to turn off the alarm. I follow right behind her. She flips three switches, which brings warm light to most of the main living area of the house. I glance over the space while she walks toward the kitchen.

“This is stunning.” I pause. “It’s just you living here?”

She nods her head yes. “Would you like water?” she asks me as she reaches in the cabinet for two glasses.

“Yes, that would be great.” I look around the large kitchen. “You like to cook?”

“You’ve seen me eat right?” Her back is to me as she pulls the lever to the water filter.

I laugh. “Yes, but that doesn’t mean you can cook.”

“True, and yes I can cook and I enjoy cooking.” She hands me a glass.

We face each other drinking our water. It feels strange seeing her in her own environment. Her home is a definite reflection of her, peaceful. Alexandra is calm and I think I am drawn to her because my life feels hectic. Working and add to that dating high drama girls, peace has been a missing element in my life. Alexandra takes me down a few notches and I like the way it feels.

I take the glass from her hand and place it on the counter. I place my arms around her and kiss her. When we move away from each other, she takes my hand and walks me back through the foyer and down a hallway to her bedroom.

Standing at the side of her bed, she reaches for the comforter and lifts it back and down to the foot of the bed. I stand behind and wait for her to show me what she wants. She turns to me and reaches for the hem of my shirt lifting it over my head. She then trails kisses from my shoulders to my neck while unbuttoning my shorts.

My hands move over her warm skin while she unzips my shorts. She shimmies them along with my boxer briefs down over my erection to my ankles and I step out of them. She guides me to the side of her bed and stands in front of me. She slides her one piece down her body revealing her white lacy strapless bra and panties.

I reach my arms up to touch her but she moves them to the sides of my body. “Don’t move your hands.” She demands in a whisper. She takes her hands and grabs my erection, stroking it. I want to drop my head back in pleasure but I also want to watch everything she does. I close my eyes for a moment but open them when I feel her warm wet mouth move over my cock.

She takes me all the way deep into her throat and moves up and down. At the tip, she swirls and plays along the sensitive rim. Continuing taking me deep and back up, her hand follows her mouth stroking my shaft. Her tongue swirls around the tip as I listen to her breathe in as if she savors my smell and taste. She sucks up and down keeping a fast pace as I feel myself lose control. It’s too much and I call out her name as I come in her mouth. I reach for the back of her head gently keeping her down as I pump every last bit of myself deep into her throat.

My body relaxes and I fall back onto her bed bringing her with me holding her in my arms. “Alexandra, honey, that was amazing.”

She responds by kissing the side of my chest where she lays snuggled in my arms.

We made love two more times after her exquisite blowjob. How did I get so lucky? When we make love, it feels like she is part of me. That everything about her is mine, and I am hers. Everything I have done before was meant to bring me closer to her. Like I was waiting, preparing for when I would find her.

It’s four in the morning. I slide out of her bed so not to wake Alexandra. I told my driver to text me when he arrived and if I didn’t answer then he should call to make sure I am awake. I’d like her to stay asleep while I sneak out. I want to stay but I have a prior engagement this morning. I grab my phone and text him back.

I slip out of bed and walk over to the other side where my clothes sit in a pile on the floor. I dress and as I pad towards the bedroom door, I take one more look at Alexandra peacefully sleeping. Her golden skin looks beautiful against the pure white sheets. I leave the room and go the kitchen in search of a piece of paper and pen. On the counter near the refrigerator is a pen and pad with the words 'To Do List' at the top. I rip off a piece and write her a quick note:

Honey, I didn’t want to wake you. I’ll call you later. x Nick

  Chapter 7

  Alexandra
<
br />   I tap my foot under the conference table as I think about Sunday night. Nick never called on Monday though I expected to hear from him. He never mentioned why he left so early. I was sure it had something having to do with the holiday.

A dreadful thought crosses my mind…what if he’s over it, what if he’s done? A been there done that kind of deal. I thought he would at least send a text, even if he couldn’t call. Shit, I hate when I think like a girl.

I repeat my other chant: Think like a guy, Think like a guy.

A second later I’m right back to thinking like a girl. Damn! Why didn’t he call me?

Getting involved with someone from work is a mistake especially when that someone is my boss. I need to stay focused. My work is too important to get distracted by Mr. Nick Ryan.

I look over at Renee. She wears more makeup than usual, which I didn’t think was possible, and that thing her bra does to her boobs looks more painful than usual. I bet when she takes off her bra trenches are left behind on her shoulders from her too tight bra straps. I look down at my boobs. I wish I had smaller breasts like runway model small, but I guess I shouldn’t complain. Look at the extreme pain Renee puts herself through to make her boobs look bigger.

I wonder if Nick is hot for her. I barely know him. He might be sleeping with multiple girls.

Oh God, is that what’s going on here…I'm just one of many.

He has Renee hanging all over him, his assistant; I can't remember her name... A, B, C, D (it will come to me). Whatever her name is looks at him like she wants to fuck him, and he could still be doing that chick from the wedding. I’m sure after she sobered up, she called him and maybe they met up and slept together.

Think like a guy, think like a guy. I hate my overactive imagination.

I study Renee's face. She's pretty. I’m just not a fan of bleached out hair and tons of makeup but I don’t think guys notice. I think they see boobs, butt, and legs, and that’s how they judge a girl’s attractiveness.

Renee’s look is hard but I think guys like that overdone, over processed look. She has those painted claws at the ends of her fingers. I know guys love painted claws. It makes them think about having their backs clawed during sex. My clean, short unpainted nails definitely don’t bring to mind any dirty visions of wild back clawing sex.
